back here again!

Hahahahah.... wat can i say... i m back here again...
but i mus say that its not realli machine problem.... it has to do with material but of cos the machine has difficult eliminating the problem.... its quite common issue for this type of machine i guess.... cos somebody posted tis problem in the net as well... asking for solution.

haf tot of some methods and implemented.... so far so good.... but big boss wants mi to stay behind until 1st nov to oversee the whole situation.... so much for my bdae.... probably 1st time i spending bdae overseas working....

its gonna b halloween soon.... the hotel i m staying is having a party tmrw nite..... of cos as the customer of the hotel i m invited to the party.... wonder how its like? nvr been to halloween party b4.... probably jus a buffet dinner as i dun recall receiving any official invitation. if i m going to the party, i will try to get some photos n post it here.....

what does halloween actualli means? The term Halloween (and its older rendering Hallowe’en) is shortened from All-hallow-even, as it is the evening of/before “All Hallows’ Day”, also known as “All Saints’ Day”.

here is philippines they celebrate halloween… i was surprise when i came back from work seeing frankenstein hand n foot at the reception… din realise tat it was halloween soon until tis morning when i went up for breakfast…

i need to take the lift to 18th flr dan climb 1 level up on stairs…. when i reach the middle part n look up… i was a little startled cos i dun expect to c anything…. but i saw some halloween maniquins….

and tis morning dan i saw that there is a bombing at the shopping mall in manila…. the place shld b 1 hour drive frm where i m now…. hou happening in philippines…. the previous times i came i experience typhoon… now bombing… wonder wats nxt….

hey pple y not we go to philippine islands instead of krabi? not sure abt the prices but here i m again in philippine…. when i checked in to the hotel again… they haf some brochures to promote philippine.

and here in philippine they have plenty of islands with beautiful beaches and clear waters… we shld realli consider this…. i can chk out the prices when i get back to singapore….. jus some photos i took frm the brochures….

Though, the picture is small but u can still c the beach is very nice and water is clear.

If you can c the blue wordings on the picture. It says ” One of the best beaches in the world”

Mayb tis is the best part? It says “let our attractive, sociable, friendly and educated social guides to accompany you…. open 24hours”

showdown in office

early in the morning there is some quarrels going on in my office....

there is a new colleague who joined abt 1mth plus ago.... being nobody to understudy, i think he is having a hard time trying to catch up. his post is suppose to b project management. all the contract projects will b followed closely by him. cost down... schedule... blah blah blah.....

for the past 1mth.. whenever i m in the office his manager, who is a unfortunately or fortunately a lady boss.. has been scolding him.... scolding n scolding.... dun even noe if she ever taught him wat to do or not..... anyway the manager went to ask for feedbacks from the procurement.... hahahahaha .... but wat the procurement said was correct.... he is here onli for 1 mth n no understudy.... surely pple needed time to adapt n pick up the pile of shit....

frankly speaking la.... i think the manager is a problem herself.... they haf changed like 4 to 5 project management for the past 1 yr.... if u tell mi 1 or 2 dan might b the staff problem.... 4 to 5 leh.... management shld seriously consider abt this........is there a problem wif the pple the empoly or the manager?

so tis morning the new guy flared up..... he shouted back at the manager.... dunno the whole detail... but he complained to mi during afternoon.... he had to work OT and the manager says any OT will need her approval.... so he agreed and everyday he will submit his request for OT and the manager dun wan to sign cos he doing alot of OT..... so he got pissed.... when the manager keep wanting datas and expect pple to work OT for free..... so he shouted back and the manager ask him to go into the office to talk.....
if i m the guy... i think i will also b pissed la.... kaoz.... anyway those in my office who has worked wif her nvr like her style.... she is like those type tat show good records to management la but by sacrificing others.....

cleared my ippt!

cleared my ippt lo...... got a silver for it.... nothing to b proud of though....
i had a veri bad timing for 2.4km.... onli managed to scrapped a 3 point for that.....

i took my 1st ippt last yr aft 6yrs of ord..... never done any jogging or training for 6 long yrs.....
went for my ippt and it was a period where the haze was veri bad..... when i took the test, the psi level has exceeded the passable level.... but the PTI said those whose window is closing will still need to take it else they will haf to sign up for RT..... so LL i took the test... managed to clear a pass....

dunno y.... aft ocs... ippt seems like a scary event............. dunno y everytime in process i will feel veri gan jiong... thinking back 6yrs ago....ippt is like everyday thing....kaoz now i need to get worried for ippt..... wat the......

anyway this yr i got silver for my ippt.... got abit nervous in the start.... but manage to clear all the static station will 5 points except standing broad jump wif 4 points.... i was amazed by the technology now.... everything is automated... even for the situp station, chinup, standing broad jump and shuttle run.... u juz need to place ur tag and start whenever u r readi.... the system will do all the counting n timing.... power sia.... jus 1 yr and the change is so big.....

so aft the static station came the hurdle for mi....... 2.4km... i think tis is a killer for most pple.... the chin up n 2.4km..... i was sitting there waiting for my turn when i saw the timing for the 1st detail.... the guy came back at 2min40sec in the 1st round which i think is super good sia.....

my turn came ...... as i started to run.... jus taking out 1st few steps i was alreadi panting for breath and my legs felt realli soft like beancurd.... no joke.... probably aft the shuttle run n sit up i guess........ i realli felt like giving up ..... dan i manage to finish the 1st round.... looking at the timing i think i shld b able to pass so i kept on running..... feeling more warmed up and momentom was right..... but i was still feeling breathless.... to distract my shaqness, i ask those pple who were walking to carry on jogging.... hahahaha they mus b damn pissed wif mi.....on the last round back i think the guy behind mi was trying to keep up wif my pace.... he caught up wif mi and dan jogged beside mi all the way.... at the last stretch which is a down slope... i turned n tell him to chiong all the way n he nodded back in reply..... i started to sprint dwn the slope but he was still behind.... onli aft the slope he start to sprint n we cross the finishing line together..... he was 1 detail b4 mi i guess..... i manage to clear at 11min 40sec.... pass can liao la.... gold is a far away dream now.... the timing to get gold is below 10min.... for cat y.... tat is like wat i can do onli when i was in ocs n when i was 22yrs old.... now i old liao leh.... how to train under 10mins..... gif up la.... take 200 not bad liao.....

Had a short briefing of our upcoming Italy trip dis afternoon. The person mentioned that there's an optional tour at a very beautiful place at Capri Island, Blue Grotto, which we might be able to join if the weather is good.

Out of curiosity, i did a research on this and i would say that beautiful is an UNDERstatement!!!

A magic no word or image could ever describe. It is a 60-metre-long, 25-metre-wide cavity; to get into it, you need to take one of the small rowing boats moored outside the cave; since the opening is very narrow, you will have to lie on the bottom of the boat to get into the grotto (in case the sea grows rough, boat service is suspended). There is actually a bigger but completely submerged opening; this very underwater entrance allows the blue coloration of the water inside the grotto, due to a phenomenon of sunlight reflection. There is an almost surreal view in the inside, the transparency and the blue colour of the water give us the impression of navigating through a clear sky, and the boats seem to float on a fantastic universe.

I really really really hope that we can go for this tour when we're dere. Will pray hard for it, and also there wont be a sudden high tide when we're inside the grotto. wahaha! =D

I really cant believe im actually making plans to visit Italy so fast.
Lyn and myself have decided to shift forward our year end trip to this Oct end. and instead of visiting Japan, we choose Italy!!!

Better and more exciting destination for me!!!!!!!!
We are finally doing the booking tomorrow morning...if nothing goes wrong.... (Keeping fingers crossed)

And Venice!!!!!! Always wanted to visit Venice since i was in secondary school. A ride on the Gondolas for sure!

The Cobbled streets...along the river..just walking and chatting with Lyn, only walking...

I can see myself there already.

Im sure many has heard about the sinking of Venice.. yes it is true. The city is built on top of millions of wooden piles that were sunk into the marshy ground about a thousand years ago. The marsh is the problem.

Although recent studies has showed that it is no longer sinking (Profesor Kay, can you cfm this?) . Some experts say that the best way to protect Venice is to physically lift the city to a greater height above sea level - by pumping water into the soil underneath the city. And, the Italy PM started some sort of a national project looking at to "lift" the whole city. But this project carried out in year 2003, is expected to lift Venice temporarily and protect the city for only 100 years only. Of cuz they are looking at a more permanent "lifting" system.

Im sure the Italians can do something to save the city but meanwhile visit Venice before its gone~hahahhaa......(just in case, they didnt managed to save it)
